If you are considering POTENZA for acne scars in Gangnam or Cheongdam, compare more than the advertised price. Check who performs the procedure, how the treatment plan is designed, how genuine tips are verified and what the quoted price includes.
At Min Clinic, a senior consultation manager conducts the initial consultation with an EVE V MUSE skin assessment, followed by an assessment and consultation with the doctor. POTENZA is performed directly by a doctor, while skincare treatments are provided separately. Patients may book a consultation without committing to treatment.
What to compare for POTENZA for acne scars
POTENZA is a radiofrequency microneedling device manufactured by Jeisys Medical Inc. in South Korea. Fine needles deliver radiofrequency energy at a selected depth within the skin.
When comparing clinics, check the following:
- Who evaluates the acne scars and surrounding skin
- Who performs the POTENZA procedure
- Which tip is selected and why
- How the treatment depth, RF mode, energy and shot distribution are planned
- Whether a new genuine POTENZA tip is opened in front of the patient
- Whether the shot count can be viewed on the device screen
- Whether the clinic is officially certified by the manufacturer
- Which treatment areas and services are included in the quoted price
Different POTENZA tips may be selected depending on the treatment goal, including tips for acne improvement, pore tightening, and the application or delivery of topical products.
How genuine POTENZA tips are verified
At Min Clinic, a new genuine POTENZA tip is opened in front of the patient before treatment. There is no separate hologram or authenticity sticker verification process for POTENZA tips.
The patient can view the shot count on the device screen during treatment. A manufacturer-issued POTENZA Official Certified Clinic plaque is also displayed at the clinic.
These verification methods are specific to POTENZA. Authenticity checks may differ for other devices and injectable products.
How the treatment plan is designed
Acne scars vary in shape, depth and distribution. The surrounding skin may also differ in thickness, sensitivity, oil production and current inflammation.
For this reason, the treatment plan should not be determined by the procedure name alone. The doctor may adjust the following according to the patient’s skin condition and treatment goal:
- Type of POTENZA tip
- Treatment depth
- RF mode and energy level
- Treatment area
- Shot distribution
- Whether a topical product or skin booster is added
At Min Clinic, the doctor develops the treatment plan after reviewing the EVE V MUSE skin assessment and examining the patient’s skin directly.
Consultation and same-day treatment
A senior consultation manager conducts the initial consultation and skin assessment. This is followed by an assessment and consultation with the doctor.
Patients may book a consultation without committing to treatment. Same-day POTENZA may be possible if the doctor determines that the procedure is appropriate and the clinic schedule allows.
If you have work, childcare or travel plans after the appointment, tell the clinic in advance. The doctor can explain the expected skin reactions and whether your schedule is appropriate for treatment that day.
Upon request, skin analysis results can be sent by email. Treatment records can also be provided in the form of a detailed medical statement.
Recovery and returning to your routine
Temporary reactions after POTENZA may include:
- Redness, mild swelling or warmth
- Fine crusting, flaking or roughness
- Visible needle marks or pinpoint bleeding
- Temporary tenderness or dryness
- Bruising
- A temporary acne flare-up
The recovery period varies depending on the selected tip, treatment settings, skin condition and individual response. Stronger treatment settings may be associated with more noticeable or longer-lasting reactions.
Washing and makeup may generally be resumed after the initial recovery period. Avoid rubbing the treated skin or using strongly irritating skincare products while the skin remains sensitive.
Strenuous exercise, sauna use and activities that cause excessive heat or sweating should be postponed until the initial redness, warmth and sensitivity have settled.
If you have an important meeting, photo shoot or event, allow sufficient recovery time. This is particularly important if you have not received POTENZA before and do not yet know how your skin will respond.
When changes may become noticeable
Immediately after treatment, temporary redness, swelling and uneven skin texture may make it difficult to evaluate the result.
Changes may become more noticeable gradually as the skin recovers and the collagen remodeling process progresses. The timing and duration of visible improvement vary depending on the skin condition, treatment settings and individual response.
The doctor determines whether additional treatment is appropriate after reviewing the patient’s skin condition, recovery and progress. Results and recovery times vary between individuals and are not guaranteed.
Pricing and what the quote includes
POTENZA pricing structures may differ between clinics. At Min Clinic, treatment may be planned for:
- The full face
- A concern-focused area such as pores or acne scars
- A partial area such as the cheeks or nose
Different POTENZA tips are selected according to the treatment goal, including tips for acne improvement, pore tightening, and the application or delivery of topical products.
The regular treatment process includes:
- EVE V MUSE skin assessment
- Cleansing before treatment
- Topical anesthetic cream
- Treatment design by the doctor
- POTENZA performed directly by the doctor

When comparing quotes from different clinics, compare the same tip type, treatment area and included services. Ask each clinic directly about any details that are not listed, such as the number of passes, energy settings or available package discounts.
Min Clinic applies the same pricing standards to international and Korean patients, and there is no additional card payment surcharge.
Under Korean tax law, VAT refunds for cosmetic medical services provided to foreign visitors are no longer available for treatments received on or after January 1, 2026.
Pregnancy and medical information
Tell the clinic about any medication you are currently taking, active inflammation or infection, previous procedures in the treatment area and any history of unusual skin reactions.
Min Clinic does not perform POTENZA, laser treatments or injectable procedures during pregnancy. Skincare treatments may be available after consultation.
