Your First miraDry for Underarm Odor: What to Compare at a Cheongdam Clinic Near Nonhyeon Station

Choosing a miraDry clinic in Gangnam or Cheongdam comes down to verifiable details: whether the clinic is an officially certified provider, which device and BioTip it uses, who performs the procedure, how the treatment area is designed and what the quoted price includes.

At Min Clinic in Nonhyeon-dong, miraDry Fresh is performed by a doctor on both underarms. The treatment range is individually designed according to the patient’s underarm size, sweat distribution and skin condition. The clinic has an official miraDry certification plaque, opens a genuine single-use BioTip in front of the patient before treatment and issues an authenticity certificate after the procedure.

What to compare for your first miraDry treatment

Official clinic certification and device authenticity

Ask whether the clinic is an officially certified miraDry provider and whether it uses an authentic miraDry Fresh system with genuine single-use BioTips.

At Min Clinic, the official miraDry certification plaque is displayed in the clinic. Before treatment, the patient can see the genuine BioTip before it is opened. The BioTip is then opened in front of the patient, and an authenticity certificate is issued after the procedure.

Authentication methods differ among medical devices, so miraDry should not be described using the sticker, hologram or shot-count verification methods associated with other treatments.

How miraDry works

miraDry Fresh is a nonsurgical, energy-based treatment that uses microwave energy together with a cooling system. It targets the underarm area where sweat glands are located while cooling helps protect the skin surface.

According to FDA 510(k) K103014, the miraDry System is cleared for treating primary axillary hyperhidrosis. Underarm odor may also improve following treatment, but odor is not included as a separate indication in that FDA clearance. Results vary, so patients primarily concerned about odor should discuss their symptoms and goals with the doctor.

miraDry is designed for the underarms. It should not be presented as a treatment for sweating of the hands or feet.

Who performs the procedure

Confirm who performs the medical procedure and who determines the treatment range and settings.

At Min Clinic, miraDry Fresh is performed by a doctor. The clinic does not apply a separate treatment standard based on sex. Instead, the doctor assesses the individual patient’s underarm size, sweat distribution and skin condition before designing the treatment area.

Skincare treatments are provided separately and should not be included in statements claiming that every service at the clinic is performed by a doctor.

Personalized treatment design and local anesthesia

The treatment range is not determined by sex or by a fixed number of shots. It is mapped according to the size of the underarms, the distribution of sweating and the patient’s skin condition.

Local underarm anesthesia is included. Because the anesthetic takes time to wear off, patients should not drive immediately after the procedure. Driving may be resumed only after the anesthesia has fully worn off and normal sensation has returned to the arms and fingertips.

What the quoted price includes

At Min Clinic, miraDry Fresh is planned for both underarms. The price varies according to the individual patient’s underarm size and planned treatment range.

The quoted price includes:

* Local underarm anesthesia * A personalized treatment-area design * The procedure performed by a doctor * Post-treatment care * A dedicated aftercare kit

VAT is charged separately at the applicable statutory rate.

When comparing clinics, confirm whether the quote covers both underarms and whether anesthesia, personalized mapping, the doctor-performed procedure, aftercare and an aftercare kit are included. miraDry quotes should not be compared by dose or shot count.

Session planning

Most patients begin with one miraDry treatment. This does not mean an additional treatment is never available.

If the doctor considers an additional session appropriate, the patient’s condition is reassessed. A follow-up treatment may be considered at least six months after the first session.

How Min Clinic runs miraDry Fresh for first-time patients

Consultation and treatment planning

A senior consultation manager conducts the initial consultation. The doctor then evaluates the patient’s underarm size, sweat distribution and skin condition and determines the appropriate treatment range.

An EVE V MUSE skin analyzer is not used for miraDry consultations. The assessment is based on the underarm area and the patient’s symptoms rather than facial skin-analysis results.

Patients may have a consultation without committing to treatment. Same-day treatment may be available depending on the clinic’s schedule and the doctor’s assessment.

English interpretation is available by appointment. Chinese and Japanese assistance is also available.

Before your appointment

Patients should shave both underarms three to four days before treatment. Shave carefully to avoid cuts or irritation, and do not shave again before the appointment.

Do not pluck or wax the underarm hair before treatment.

Antiperspirants and deodorants should be discontinued five to seven days before the procedure. On the day of treatment, avoid tight-fitting tops that may place pressure on or irritate the underarm area.

If you take any medications, bring or provide their exact names during consultation.

Immediately after treatment

Temporary discomfort, swelling, injection marks or changes in sensation may occur after miraDry. Individual recovery varies.

Patients should not drive immediately after treatment. The local anesthesia may take approximately two hours to wear off, but driving should resume only after normal sensation has fully returned to the arms and fingertips.

A shower is generally possible approximately three to four hours after treatment. Avoid strong pressure, friction and very hot water on the treated area.

Same-day air travel may be possible if there are no unusual symptoms. Patients should generally allow approximately four hours for the anesthesia to wear off and normal sensation to return before traveling.

Exercise and hair removal

After one week, patients may begin with gentle stretching and gradually resume exercise according to their recovery.

Light underarm shaving with a razor may also be resumed after one week if the skin is not irritated. Other hair-removal methods, including waxing and plucking, should be avoided during the healing period.

Recovery experience

Pain or soreness may be noticeable for approximately one to two days. Swelling, injection marks or bruising may take approximately one to two weeks to improve, although the duration varies by patient.

During healing, symptoms may improve and then temporarily reappear. Possible temporary symptoms include:

* Itching * Redness * Tightness * Tingling * Uneven or bumpy skin texture * Firm or lumpy areas under the skin * A tight or band-like sensation in the underarm area

The overall healing process may take approximately four to twelve weeks and varies considerably among individuals. Patients should expect to monitor their recovery for up to three months and contact Min Clinic if they have questions or experience discomfort.

This recovery period should not be described as a guaranteed three-month follow-up or coverage program.

Authenticity confirmation

Min Clinic is an officially certified miraDry clinic and uses an authentic miraDry Fresh system with genuine single-use BioTips.

The clinic provides three forms of authenticity confirmation:

* An official miraDry certification plaque is displayed at the clinic. * A genuine single-use BioTip is shown to the patient and opened in front of the patient before treatment. * An authenticity certificate is issued after the procedure.

The certificate should not be described as including a BioTip LOT number or a one-year aftercare guarantee unless those details are separately confirmed for the individual patient.

Who treats you and how consultations work

The medical team

Three doctors practice at Min Clinic: Young Soo Min, the chief medical director, and Min Ji Kim and Chan Ho Jung, both medical directors. Two of the three doctors are board-certified specialists.

Manufacturer-issued titles held by the medical team should be quoted only as they appear on the relevant plaques or supporting documents. These titles are separate from miraDry certification and should not be presented as proof of a particular treatment outcome.

Consultation flow

The consultation begins with a senior consultation manager. The doctor then assesses the treatment area, discusses the patient’s concerns and designs the medical treatment plan.

Because miraDry consultations do not use the EVE V MUSE skin analyzer, facial skin-analysis results are not part of the standard miraDry consultation process.

The length of a consultation varies depending on the patient’s questions, medical history and need for interpretation. Same-day treatment is subject to appointment availability and the doctor’s assessment.

Treatment during pregnancy

Min Clinic does not provide medical aesthetic procedures, including miraDry, during pregnancy. Skincare treatments may be available after consultation.

Patients who are pregnant or may be pregnant should inform the clinic when booking and again during consultation.

PayPal is not accepted.

Payment may be split across two cards, and the clinic does not add a separate card-processing surcharge. Min Clinic applies the same treatment prices to Korean and international patients.

In accordance with Korean tax law, VAT refunds for cosmetic medical services provided to foreign visitors are no longer available for treatments received on or after January 1, 2026. Min Clinic therefore does not process foreign-tourist VAT refunds for treatments provided on or after that date.

Treatment records

Treatment records may be provided upon request in the form of a detailed medical statement.

Because the EVE V MUSE skin analyzer is not used for miraDry consultations, this treatment should not be described as including emailed facial skin-analysis results.

Frequently asked questions

I am mainly concerned about underarm odor. Is miraDry suitable for that?

The miraDry System’s FDA clearance covers the treatment of primary axillary hyperhidrosis. Some patients may notice a change in underarm odor after treatment, but odor is not listed as a separate indication in that FDA clearance. Discuss your symptoms and goals with the doctor to determine whether miraDry is appropriate for you.

How many miraDry treatments will I need?

Most patients begin with one treatment. If an additional treatment is considered appropriate, the doctor reassesses the patient’s condition. A follow-up session may be considered at least six months after the first treatment.

How can I verify that the clinic uses authentic miraDry equipment and BioTips?

Min Clinic has an official miraDry certification plaque displayed at the clinic. A genuine single-use BioTip is shown to the patient and opened in front of the patient before treatment. An authenticity certificate is also issued after the procedure.

How long does recovery take?

Pain or soreness may last approximately one to two days. Swelling, injection marks or bruising may take approximately one to two weeks to improve.

Itching, redness, tightness, tingling, uneven skin texture and firm or lumpy areas may appear during healing. The overall recovery process may take approximately four to twelve weeks, with considerable individual variation. Patients should monitor their recovery for up to three months and contact the clinic if they have concerns.

When can I shower, exercise and shave?

A shower is generally possible approximately three to four hours after treatment.

After one week, patients may begin with gentle stretching and gradually resume exercise. Light shaving with a razor may also resume after one week if the skin is not irritated. Waxing, plucking and other hair-removal methods should be avoided during healing.

Can I drive after miraDry?

Do not drive immediately after treatment. Driving may resume only after the local anesthesia has fully worn off and normal sensation has returned to the arms and fingertips.

What should I compare when reviewing miraDry quotes?

Confirm whether the quote covers both underarms and how the treatment range affects the price. Check whether the clinic is an officially certified miraDry provider and whether it uses an authentic miraDry Fresh system with genuine single-use BioTips.

Also confirm whether the price includes local anesthesia, a personalized treatment design, the procedure performed by a doctor, post-treatment care and a dedicated aftercare kit, and whether VAT is charged separately.

Can I receive miraDry during pregnancy?

Min Clinic does not provide medical aesthetic procedures, including miraDry, during pregnancy. Skincare treatments may be available after consultation.
